Smoothie Recipes

Get your hands on a nice blender and juicer. Try and buy organic when you can (PLU# starts with a 9 in the USA). Great EASY way to get heaps of variety of fruits and veggies into your diet.

I sometimes add a vegan protein if it’s a post workout shake. I generally use vanilla, but depends on the flavour of the smoothie.

Chocolate Avocado Shake

Chocolate smoothie

  • ¾ cup of water
  • ¼ cup of coconut milk
  • ½ cup of ice
  • ½ avocado
  • Handful of spinach
  • 2 Tbsp. cacao
  • 1 Tbsp. raw honey
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract

 

Carrot Ginger Shake

  • Organic carrots
  • Chunk of ginger
  • An orange
  • Pinch salt
  • 1/2 lemon squeezed
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 Cup Ice cubes

 

Kale MonsterGreen

  • Cup of Kale leaves
  • Green apple
  • Celery
  • Kiwi fruit
  • Pinch salt
  • Inch of Aloe Vera
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/2 Cup Ice cubes

 

 

Blueberry Peanut Butter

  • 1/2 Cup Blueberries
  • 1 Tbsp Peanut Butter (Can substitute PB2 for less fat!)
  • 2/3 Cup almond milk
  • 1 Tbsp Agave nectar
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 2 Tbsp of Goji Berries
