I have just arrived back from a another whirl-wind week in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
I traveled with the CCSU Golf Team to the Fireline Invitational in Maryland. It was a 3-day tournament that had some pretty cold weather early in the rounds, which wasn’t so conducive to scoring.
I felt like I was hitting the ball great but a couple of lapses left me with a few big numbers which prevented me from scoring low.

Another beautiful view from our hotel in Prospect Bay.

On course shot of me on the 10th hole of Prospect Bay CC.
Play concluded sunday arvo in MA and from there the team traveled a few hours by van to Malvern, PA, and White Manor Country Club.
I was able to scoot around in a cart and see the holes before dark, no practice round.
Monday morning saw 36 holes of play with temperatures around 36 degrees until mid morning and wind at around 30 mph!
The morning round could barely be considered golf; the toughest conditions I have yet to see on a course. The afternoon saw the temperature rise a little and the winds subside only slightly. I great learning experience and an absolutely stunning course and design. A 2nd and 3rd round 75 saw me climb into the top 50 of the individual leader board, which I was happy with after the first morning conditions.
After 7 rounds in 6 days and a week on the road, it was great to get back and see my bed. The statistics from the past few tournaments has given me some good insight on what I will be working on in the coming weeks!
In the mean time, Happy Easter everyone.
