Revamped

Over the last few weeks, I’ve had a lot of people asking for some advice, or suggestions on diet, workout and healthy living.

I’m going to start posting here what I’m up to and try to make it a great go to resource for healthy living.

Hit me up with your suggestion, I hope everyone is training hard, eating well, sleeping faster and living every day.

2 Aussies take on America!

It’s GO TIME! On Sunday May 20th, my best mate Morgs and I are heading off on our drive across America. It is going to involve an 8000 kilometer drive in a 1999 Honda Civic named “D-Dorothy”, 5 golf tournaments, and hopefully many life memories. We’ll be selling the rig we’re driving in

See where we’re heading!

If you have any tips of safe travels I would love to hear them. If not, hopefully see a few of you along the way!

1st Week of April 2012

I have just arrived back from a another whirl-wind week in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

I traveled with the CCSU Golf Team to the Fireline Invitational in Maryland. It was a 3-day tournament that had some pretty cold weather early in the rounds, which wasn’t so conducive to scoring.

I felt like I was hitting the ball great but a couple of lapses left me with a few big numbers which prevented me from scoring low.

Another beautiful view from our hotel in Prospect Bay.

On course shot of me on the 10th hole of Prospect Bay CC.

Play concluded sunday arvo in MA and from there the team traveled a few hours by van to Malvern, PA, and White Manor Country Club.

I was able to scoot around in a cart and see the holes before dark, no practice round.

Monday morning saw 36 holes of play with temperatures around 36 degrees until mid morning and wind at around 30 mph!

The morning round could barely be considered golf; the toughest conditions I have yet to see on a course. The afternoon saw the temperature rise a little and the winds subside only slightly. I great learning experience and an absolutely stunning course and design. A 2nd and 3rd round 75 saw me climb into the top 50 of the individual leader board, which I was happy with after the first morning conditions.

After 7 rounds in 6 days and a week on the road, it was great to get back and see my bed. The statistics from the past few tournaments has given me some good insight on what I will be working on in the coming weeks!

In the mean time, Happy Easter everyone.

Barona Collegiate Cup

The first college tournament of the spring season. March 23rd and 24th it kicked off at Barona Creek Resort and Casino in San Diego, CA.

Monday the 19th, the Central Connecticut team and I were up at 4am for a quick drive down to JFK and our flight out to San Diego. A short drive over to Coronado for a fun round of golf around the bay.

Great course and a blast of a day, followed by an amazing dinner at Brigantine. Fish Taco’s, enough said! Then, it was of to Barona Creek Resort and Casino…

It is just stunning out here. 360 degrees of amazing views! Especially the 9th tee.

The CCSU golf team has completed play in the prestigious Barona Collegiate Cup in San Diego, CA.  The tournament was held at the 7,393 Barona Creek Course.

Round 2 saw much more difficult pin positions, and every team in the field finished with a higher score than round 1.  The Blue Devils had 74 from Mullen, 75 from Crawford, 78′s from Fanion and Dan Morgan, and 80 from Josephson.

The final round saw Morgan lead the team with 73, followed by 75 from Finnerty, 80 from Josephson, and 82′s from Mullen and Crawford.
